N100 Music Library

The N100 is Melco's entry level High Resolution Digital Library. It is built in a half sized chassis. However, half sized does not mean half quality. The N100 has three USB ports that are compatible USB DACs, CD drives and storage. It also has dedicated LAN and Player ports for improved sound quality. The N100 is available with either 2TB or 5TB storage space for your music files or CDs, and sounds terrific with Tidal and Qobuz.

If you would prefer a full-width component or are looking for a higher level of performance, you might want to consider the N50. The N50 comes in two versions, one with a 6TB HDD storage drive, and one with a 3.84 TB SSD drive. It has an IEC inlet with a true electrical ground, and an internal powerline filter. the back panel includes a set of three USB 3.0 ports to accommodate easy back up, expansion, and DAC connectivity, along with an additional dedicated USB DAC port.

The N10 is Melco's vision of a "no-compromise" music library.  Like the original N10 before it, the N10/2 has been designed from start to finish as a reference grade audio component. The power supply is massive, and is housed in a separate chassis for the best possible noise reduction. It also rests on TOAC isolation feet. The N10/2 has newly designed internal electronics and software, and is available with either a 5TB HDD, or a 3.84 TB SSD.

The second generation S100/2 data switch creates an ideal low-noise environment for networked music libraries to operate in, helping to deliver the best possible sound performance. Compared to an ordinary IT data switch, the S100/2 offers extraordinary architecture, with two 100 Mb RJ45 ports for the best audio quality and six 1 Gb ports for PC connectivity, and other high-traffic-flow devices, such as the Roon Core processor. The second generation S100/2 also gains an improved power circuit board with a carefully selected AC adapter.

The S10 is Melco’s flagship data switch and comprises a ‘head’ unit and a power unit, separating the sensitive data-carrying areas of the design from the power supply. The two-box approach echoes that of the N10/2 library, and offers the least compromise when it comes to ultimate sound quality.

The S10’s head unit is based on a heavily upgraded S100 network switch, and benefits from a greatly improved power management section, better aluminium casework and a rigid-steel screened chassis.

The rear panel connections include different-speed RJ45 Ethernet ports: 4x 100 MB and 4x 1 GB, plus 2x 1 GB SFP.

The D100 is a highly advanced optical drive that reads optical discs - such as CDs - with great precision. The D100 can ‘rip’ CD collections onto a Melco library or hard drive, allowing for optimum data transfer in archive quality. It uses an audiophile-optimised circuit board, and a high quality clock generator to deliver the highest performance ripping from CD. In addition the D100 can even be used as a high-precision CD transport into a USB DAC.

A great deal of time and resource went intio the development of the C100 digital Cable. Melco wanted to insure that the cable was free from both internal and external Interference, and implemented an asymmetric drain wire grounding system to bleed off any unwanted noise.  The C100 is a very well thought out cable and helps your digital equipment perform at its very best.
