Clearaudio Concept Black

Clearaudio's mission with the Concept Black was to create an affordable turntable, that was attractive, easy to assemble, and most importantly was able to perform up to Clearaudio standards - ie. sound like a more expensive turntable. I say mission accomplished. The Concept Black bundle can be up and running in a matter of minutes. It's a very enjoyable turntable to listen to - it performs well beyond it's price point and offers speeds of 33 1/3, 45, 78 RPM.

The Concept Dark Wood is essentially  the same turntable as the Concept black, but there are two distinct differences. First, there is an attractive woos finish on the outer band of the turntable. Second, the body of the turntable is made from pressurized solid wood to further minimize resonance. Like the Concept Black it is easy to set up, and is  available in a variety of turntable/arm/cartridge bundles

The Clearaudio Performance DC is the perfect choice for those who are ready to up their turntable game. It has a pressurized wood core sandwiched between two aluminum surface plates, a newly developed DC motor with high precision bearings, and a nice solid 40mm Delrin plater sitting on Clearaudio's own ceramic magnetic bearing. Equipped with an appropriate arm and cartridge the Performance DC is capable of an extraordinary level of vinyl playback, and will provide many years of listening pleasure.

The Ovation takes "serious" to a whole other level. Consider the core - it is made from Panzerholz, which is a hardened panel of phenolic resin and hardwood. It's literally bulletproof. This hardened panel also contains 100,000 tiny metallic balls to eliminate even the possibility of resonance within the chassis. Sounds serious to me. Add a 40mm Delrin platter, a high torque decoupled DC motor, the ceramic magnetic bearing, and optical speed control, and the trip to "serious" is complete.

"IT'S NOT BASIC"... I can literally hear this being yelled in an Arnold Schwarzenneger voice (a la Kindergarten Cop). And it's not - the Innovation Basic has a lot of the same features onboard developed for the Innovation.
